Minutes from September 2005 Chapter Meeting
President Jim McNamee called the meeting to order at 10:35 A.M. at The PLUM CREEK GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB in Castle Rock.
President Jim McNamee had everyone introduce themselves.
President Jim McNamee thanked Brian and Christine Foote for setting the meeting up at The Plum Creek Golf and Country Club and the ladies gathering at the home of the Footes’ while the men were meeting.
President Jim McNamee asked for the minutes for the May 16th meeting as presented by Secretary Roger D. Patterson be reviewed for approval. Moved by Lyssy; Seconded by Rice. Approved.
Rick Beaver will tract the records for the wooden models.
Fred Lyssy moved that the Executive Committee meet to review and approve the financial records. The Executive Committee will also establish procedures for the accounting system. Seconded by Mike Law. Approved.
President Jim McNamee spoke on the wooden models and Bill Robie’s inventory list.
President Jim McNamee and Rick Beaver spoke on the wooden model display for the trailer.
President Jim McNamee spoke on the Army/Air Force Football Game in Colorado Springs on November 5, 2005. Jim explained the setup and need for an accurate count on who will be attending.
President Jim McNamee spoke on the trailer and the set up for Veterans Day in Greeley. Ed Fickes needs the trailer in Greeley on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 10, 11 and 12th of November. Mike Law requested a tent.
Mike Law spoke on the need for a presentation to educate the public at Greeley and where ever the Trailer may be displayed in the future. The preferred dress at Greeley is the Chapter Cap and Chapter Shirt.
President Jim McNamee stated that the cookies and drink event for the VA Hospital is Dec 3 at 1:30 P.M.
President Jim McNamee addressed the memorabilia items needed for the Trailer and the need to get them to him for trailer venues in 2006.
Ron Magnus reviewed the opportunity to see an aerobatic helicopter demonstration in the Black Forest area followed by a meeting at his house after the demonstration.
Brian Foote reviewed the web site status and that now we can post our photos on the Galley section of the web site ourselves. The instructions are easy to follow and the pictures must be in a digital format.
Mike Law said he will have the Newsletter out this week including the Greeley and VA dates. He asked how many pilots we wanted to mail to that are not on our e-mail list. Fred Lyssy moved we allow Mike To spend up to $100.00 for the Newsletter reproduction and distribution. Robert Brightwell seconded. Approved.
Rex Gooch stated he has items to donate for the Trailer. Possibility exists of using the items to get funds for Chapter.
Jim McNamee and Rick Beaver will be at the Trailer 9-18-05 between 8:30 and 9:00 hours.
There are 2 Shadow Boxes left for someone to set up their display.
Don Rice spoke on the painting of the outside of the trailer by the company he works for and he will get it settled this next week.
Rick Beaver spoke on the Trailer Operations Manual (ie opening it up, operating it, closing it down and having it ready for the road). He stated he needs help cleaning up under the trailer and painting the lift and stairs.
Next meeting will be at the Trailer on October 15, 2005. Buffalo Rose will back up in case of weather.
Meeting adjourned to lunch and social time at approximately 12:30 P.M.
